Shiba hat!

I have knitted my very own Shiba hat!  And you get to see it and me!  And Tierce, but he’s appeared so often that he’s kind of expected.

Shiba Hat 1

This took me about a week to complete. The actual hat took about three days, including the ears. I spent about three hours in total, working on the details – there were a lot of pullings out and reworkings!

Shiba Hat 2

You can find the pattern for the actual hat at http://www.kittyville.com/knit/kitty_hat.html

The orange yarn came from a very large rainbow-coloured shirt. The white came from my friend, Ramona – thanks, Ramona! The buttons came from Mad About Ewe, a knitting shop in Nanaimo.

Tierce thinks I'm yummy.

I had to put a tail to prove that this is a Shiba hat and not that ridiculous fox-thing "mascot" for the 2010 Olympics. Tierce is modelling an actual Shiba tail.

Well, there you go.  The face behind TMS.  Don’t all of you go wandering the streets of Nanaimo, looking for my autograph, now.
