Yeah, just what we need here in LA…for the Shiba to be the next accessory dog or pet du jour. “Ryan Cheesecrest” (as some people here in LA like to call him) should think hard if he considers getting a Shiba. As we Shiba owners know – a Shiba Inu is more like a cat than a dog – not the “Hollywood storyline or ending” that Cheesecrest imagines. Yeah, I get that a Shiba is good looking – that is such an LA thing to say…..

Uuuuggghhh! I can picture the streets of Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Melrose crawling with undisciplined Shiba’s on the wekeends! Just like the way it is now with Yorkies and those damn Chihuahua’s. Not a pretty Hollywood picture at all!

Maybe Ryan should talk to Kelly Osborne and see what she says.. I haven’t seen nor heard what has happened to her shiba since that infamous picture.

He is a very hard worker.. I just don’t think he has the time for a Shiba. I pretty much cancelled my life for the first two years of Nikko’s life when he was a pup. Unfortunately Nikko’s life was short at just 4 years. Anyways I just don’t see that happening with Ryan. Now that i have a new pup, Yoshi.. My life is cancelled again.. i have a year and a half to go. =)

I do hope, sincerely… he does his research.. i do hope he finds your site and reads the original misanthropic shiba. Everywhere else that i’ve read just sugar coats it and noone needs that.

*sigh.. and here i thought Puppy Cam scared me..

Ooh, thank you so much for posting this! I heard this bit of news on the 23rd on my way home from work while the radio was playing that “On Air” nonsense. He made some comment about how he was afraid it wasn’t manly enough for him, and I almost missed my turn since I was too busy yelling at the radio.

Apparently, the comments have to be approved before being posted and they cut out my NSCA link at the end of my comment, so I’m pretty pleased that you addressed the issue on your blog with all the links included. I mean, I already fear the upcoming Hachi movie, but Ryan getting one would just be…I don’t know.
